How to Add Tabs in Confluence Pages

Step 1

Choose one of the following options:

Select existing pages

Define labels

Define a parent page

Create your own tabs (Cloud only)

Settings for all macro options
Customize the tab design

Switch between horizontal (default) and vertical tabs

Set the width of the vertical tabs

Set the content height

Adjust the settings’ width

Set the macro editor to full-screen

Select existing pages
Search for and select Confluence pages.

Tabs are automatically generated displaying the selected pages’ content.
Step 4
Define labels
Define one or more labels.

Use CQL filter to narrow down results.

Tabs are automatically generated for pages with the specified labels.

Define a parent page
Select a parent page.

Tabs are automatically generated displaying the content of the parent page’s children.

Create your own tabs (Cloud only)
Your Content:

Create tabs and give them names.

Use the editor to insert content (similar to the Confluence editor).

Embed/HTML Code or iFrame:

Paste embed or HTML code in the input field.

Paste a target URL for an iFrame.

Adjust content size.

Search for a Confluence page.

We are running a few hundred pages in Confluence Cloud with lots of tabs on each page on which we embed not only Confluence tables including hyperlinks, but also e.g. expand macros and 3rd party (database) forms (using iframe as a concept combined with a 3rd party html macro). As we migrated from an alternative TAB solution that announced end of life (Macro Toolbox) we were very very happy by the migration offered by Navitabs which saved us a huge number of hours if done manually.
